Coming back from the sole weekend off, Team Rocky Mountain ATV/MC descended upon to Spring Creek MX in Millville, MN for round six of the 2020 Pro Motocross National Series. Blake Baggett raced his way to a 2nd overall, while Justin Bogle picked up the pace with a 13th overall.

Blake Baggett

It looked as if we would see another great performance from Blake Baggett this round early on, as he put down the 4th fastest lap of the day in morning practice. Timing the gate perfectly in Moto 1 allowed Blake to navigate the first turn in 4th place. From there, he put in some of the fastest laps of the race as he went to on to move forward. He caught up to Chase Sexton at the bottom of Mt. Martin to take over 3rd, then closed the gap between him and Marvin Musquin in 2nd place. For several laps, both swapped lines while using the full width of the track. After relentless pressure and forcing a mistake from Musquin, Blake made his way into 2nd place. With the win in sight, Blake put on a late-race charge to capture leader Adam Cianciarulo, but just narrowly missed out on the lead. The second moto picked up where the first one left off as Blake barley missed the holeshot and slid into 2nd, chasing the leader Adam Cianciarulo yet again. After falling back a few spots, he picked up the pace and found himself in a three-way battle with Chase Sexton and Adam Cianciarulo for the lead. Once he made his way past Sexton, he cut the gap between him and the leader before running out of time, crossing the finish line in 2nd. That finish was enough for Blake to take 2nd overall for the day.

“Today was awesome. I had the speed all weekend and I could put my bike anywhere I wanted to. I was giving it everything I got out there and I know I still have it in me to win. We will take this momentum into WW Ranch next weekend ready to be on the top spot.”

Justin Bogle

Justin Bogle started the first moto at the Spring Creek track rounding the first turn just outside the top 10. He held that pace and found himself battling for position. He continued hitting his lines and took the checkered flag in 16th place. Justin started inside the top 10 during moto 2, and he ran the pace early in the race before sliding back a few spots. Jusin raced well and fought his way to the finish line to take the checkered flag in 12th , earning 13th overall for the day.

“I’m getting stronger every weekend. I felt loose out there and flowing around the track today. I’m for sure making strides and they are showing in my results. We keep moving forward, progress and fight for a top ten finish next weekend at WW Ranch.”
