This past Saturday marked the opening round of the 2020 Pro Motocross Championship series at the famous Loretta Lynn Ranch in Hurricane Mills, TN. This being the track’s first-ever pro motocross national event. Blake Baggett ran two solid motos earning a 6th place finish, and teammate Justin Bogle returned to racing after sitting out much of the supercross season.

Blake Baggett

Blake Baggett left the gate for the first moto at the ranch rounding the first turn deep in the pack. He quickly went work making his way into the top 10 by the start of the third lap. Blake, while battling for 8th position, would make a mistake that dropped him outside of the top 10 once again. He instantly got back on the gas, and started to charge through the field, moving from 16th place back into the top 10 by the second half of the race to cross the finish line in 8th. A better start in the second moto put Blake inside the top 10 early on. He navigated his way from the tail-end of the top 10 to 6th place by the second lap, but didn’t stop there. He worked his way into the top 5, ultimately, crossing the finish line in 4th place. With an 8-4 score, Blake earned 6th overall for the day.

I felt good out there today. The track was rough and my starts helped me run with the front pack. My speed is there and we will make a few adjustments for next week, come back for round two ready to fight for a podium.

Justin Bogle

Justin Bogle, after a long hiatus, made his return to racing with a solid start in the first moto, rounding the first turn inside the top 10. He battled for position early in the race, but fell outside the top 10 by the middle of the race. He would eventually cross the checkered flag in 17th place. Unfortunately, Justin did not start the second moto.

Team Rocky Mountain ATV/MC will stay at the ranch for round two of the Pro Motocross Nationals in Hurricane Mills, TN.
