Following an almost 3-month hiatus, SoCal SuperTrucks supported Team Rocky Mountain ATV/MC made their way to Salt Lake City, UT for round 11 of the 2020 Monster Energy Supercross series as this, and remaining rounds of the series will be held at Rice-Eccles Stadium. Blake Baggett and Benny Bloss put in great efforts in the first of the seven remaining rounds.

Blake Baggett
Blake Baggett’s time off the bike did not seem to hurt him at all, as he had the Salt Lake City track on lock. He came out of the gate fast in his heat race, leaving the starting line inside the top 3 and taking the checkered flag in 3rd place to transfer straight to the main. The main event start showed Blake timing the gate perfectly to take the holeshot and an early lead. His speed allowed him to open up a gap between the rest of the field, leading the first 12 laps of the race. Unfortunately he slid back late in the race due to complications with his wrist, but still crossed the finish line in 7th place.
“It felt good to be back racing. My starts were on point today and my speed was there. It was good to lead the main event and felt I had the bike to win today. The team has worked hard during this break and up front is where we should be. I’m looking forward to Wednesday night’s race and putting the team on the podium.”

Benny Bloss
Benny Bloss’ heat race was very solid, battling inside the top ten for the entirety of the race to take the checkered flag in 9th for the final transfer spot.
Benny’s start in the Main Event would leave something to be desired, as he came out of the gate mid-pack. This would have him working hard from the get. Benny would keep his focus, and end the day with a 13th place finish.
The team will quickly turn around and prepare for Wednesday night’s race, round 12 of the 2020 Monster Energy Supercross Series.
