Inclement weather made for a rain soaked track during Salt Lake City III, making it one of the most challenging races of the season. SoCal SuperTrucks backed riders Blake Baggett and Benny Bloss battled the not only the other riders, but the conditions as well in Salt Lake City, UT for round 13 of the 2020 Monster Energy Supercross series.
Blake Baggett
Blake Baggett with a solid start was able to leave the gate inside the top ten in his heat race, working his way up to a 6th place finish and a transfer spot to the main. Unfortunately, a mid-pack start in the main event had him buried deep in the pack. Blake would dig deep, navigating ruts on the rain-soaked track to finish the night crossing the checkered flag in 12th place.
“The track was tough today. I just couldn’t get going in the main event and struggled a bit in the mud. We will regroup and come back strong on Wednesday.”

Benny Bloss
Benny Bloss seemed to be unbothered by the mud, as he used a good start to battle inside the top ten, crossing the finish line in 5th place to gain a spot in the main event. He stayed on the gas in the main and battled his way from a mid-pack start to just outside the top ten. Benny would hit the ground while making a pass but remount and work his way through the field to finish 13th at the checkered flag.
